BASTROP, Texas — The family of a student who was on a Bastrop ISD school bus when it was hit by an 18-wheeler on Oct. 24 is suing the company that owns the semi.

A total of 20 students were on board the bus on State Highway 71 near Tucker Hill Lane when the semi allegedly ran a red light and T-boned it.

Nine of the students and the driver were hurt. According to a release from the law firm, the student they are representing had lacerations and a head injury that knocked him unconscious.
